We are Ziax Ltd (company number: 08979146) (“Ziax”, “we”, “our” and “us”) and we are the company that collects your personal data and controls how it will be used (the “data controller”). 

We operate the following platforms:

CubeCraft” the platform hosted at https://www.cubecraft.net/, cbecrft.net and ccgn.co (and sub-domains of such site) and via which users may access our Minecraft server, offering Minecraft content and multiplayer services,

collectively our “Platforms” and each a “Platform”. Further information about each of our Platforms can be found at the relevant URL.

  1. Scope of this policy

We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting the personal data you share with us and that we collect about you. This policy tells you about how we use the personal data we collect about you when you use our Platforms. It also provides more information about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

We have set out below the personal data we may collect from you during your use of our Platforms and how this is used by Ziax.

Website

For each of your sessions on the Website, we collect your timestamp (which tells us the time spent on each part of our Website) and details of your behaviour during the session (how you navigate our website, clicks, journey through to different parts of our website etc.).

  • for security and to monitor your behaviour, to check for irregularities and enable us to protect our systems
  • we may aggregate your data about how you use the Website with data collected from other users and use this to learn about how users use our Website and to make decisions about changes to our Website
  • to assess your user experience, including any technical faults during your session. This helps us improve our service.

We collect your IP address each time you access our website and from this, we may infer your location.

  • your IP address enables us to identify you as an individual user (although we won’t know your name or other contact details about you) and to manage the Platform to ensure a safe environment, which includes the ability to block you and other users if you are in breach of our rules.
  • We may use your location to set a default language for you – but you can also manually select your preferred language.

Your name, email address and any other information you include in your message when you send us a message with a comment or question on our Website or any other contact method we make available.

CubeCraft

We collect your full name, email address, date of birth, username and password when you register for an account with us.

  • register your account with us and allow you to login to your account and play CubeCraft
  • we also use your username whilst you’re using our Platform for the purposes set out below.

If you play Minecraft on our Website, we will receive from Microsoft your username, user ID and any other information attached to your Minecraft account – including whether or not your account is subject to parental management. This applies even if you have not registered for an account with us.

We record your play sessions so you can watch these back and review your performance.

  • To improve your Minecraft user experience.

For each of your sessions on the Platform, we collect your timestamp (which tells us the time you logged on and off and time spent on each game and part of our Platform), details of your behaviour during the session and logs of all chat messages sent both publicly and privately on CubeCraft.

  • to store your progress on the games
  • to create user statistics, including updating the leader board

We collect your IP address each time you log on with your username/UID and from this, we infer your region and location, unless otherwise selected. We also collect your location if you change your account settings to include these details.

  • your IP address along with your username/UID enables us to identify you as an individual user and to manage the Platform to ensure a safe environment, which includes the ability to block you and other users if you are in breach of our rules.
  • We will use your location to set a default language for you – but you can also manually select your preferred language.

Your name, email address and any other information you include in your message when you send us a message with a comment or question on our Platform or any other contact method we make available.

Technical information about your session and connection, including details of your web browser, device, operating system, time for page loading and error logs, your region, location and internet service provider (each inferred from your IP address) and the version of Minecraft on which you are playing

  • to assess any connection difficulties you may have had and improve our Platform so it is easier to use
  • we may aggregate this data and use it for the purpose of determining how to test certain games prior to release.

We may also collect, use and share data relating to you which is not “personal data”, such as demographic data or details of your typical use of our Platforms. You can’t be identified from this information. We will use this information, for example, to improve our Platforms, tailor our future strategy and help us create games we think you will like.

We may use automated technologies to make certain decisions about you as you interact with our Platforms for the purposes of user safety and security, technical and analytical purposes. This means that these decisions will be made by a computer rather than a human. You have the right to challenge any decisions made by a computer and we will review these to ensure the right decision has been made.

In the case of Warden, processing and delivering subscriptions to you and dealing with refunds. In respect of all of our Platforms this also includes other customer service queries.

Performing our contract with you (we need to do this to provide our services to you) and our legitimate interests of ensuring you enjoy using our Platform.

Some of this information will also be required for legal reasons such as fraud prevention and for our legitimate interests of defending against any claims made against us.

Collecting user statistics and records of user behaviour.

Our legitimate interests of providing user statistics and records to you to improve your experience and allow us to improve our Platform by better understanding our users.

Dealing with your comments/questions.

  1. Children

Our Website should not be used by anyone who is less than 13 years of age.

CubeCraft may be used by you if you are less than 13 years of age but only if you use your Microsoft child account login to access these Platforms.   

If you are under 18, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the consent of your parent or guardian to your use of our Platforms and the personal data that we collect. 

  1. Sharing of Personal Data

If you are a CubeCraft user, we do need to share certain of your personal data with Microsoft to verify your ability to play on our Platform and for security reasons. 

We do not sell your personal data to any third parties. 

In addition to the above, we may share your personal data with our carefully selected third party service providers who help us provide our services to you, including:

  • Cloudflare, who assist us in delivering and securing our Platforms. 
  • Google, who collect data to provide us with analytics including the number of visitors to our Platforms and the visitor’s activity. 
  • Crisp, who provide a customer support platform for us. 
  • OVH, who provide server hosting and data storage. 
  • Datapacket, who provide server hosting and data storage. 
  • Amazon Web Services, who provide server hosting, data storage and domain management. 
  • Backblaze, who store data on our behalf.
  • Better Stack, who provide us log management, analytics and service monitoring.

Our CubeCraft Games PC Store (available at https://store.cubecraft.net/) is operated by a third party, Tebex. Any personal data you submit when using or making a purchase from such store will be collected by Tebex and you should read Tebex’s privacy policy.If you go to or make a purchase from the Minecraft Marketplace, this marketplace is operated by Microsoft and any personal data you submit when using or making a purchase from the marketplace will be collected by Microsoft and you should read Microsoft’s privacy policy.

In certain circumstances we may also need to share your personal data with our legal advisers, bankers, auditors and insurers and our regulators, including HM Revenue & Customs and with any third parties to who we choose to sell or transfer any part of our business or assets.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to use your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. 

  1. International Transfers

Some of our carefully selected third party service providers are located outside of the UK and so we may need to transfer your personal data outside the UK when sharing data with them.  Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to your personal data, either by:

  • the country been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the UK; or
  • putting in place standard contractual clauses approved under English law. 
  1. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know such information. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Our Platforms may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and apps. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our Platforms, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website and app you visit.

  1. How long will we keep your information for?

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. 

Our retention periods vary depending on the type of personal data and the reason why we are holding it, these are:

  • your name, email address, address, phone number, date of birth, and activity history, will be held for as long as you continue to hold an account with us and up to three months afterwards. 
  • your username and UID will be held for up to 10 years following your last activity on our Platforms. 
  • Logs of your sessions (which will include your IP address, location, language, timestamps, activity information and chat logs) will be retained for up to twelve months from the date of collection.

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the following:

  • The right to request access to personal data we are holding about you.
  • The right to request that the personal data we are holding about you be updated/corrected.
  • The right to request erasure of the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to object to our processing of your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests.
  • The right to object to processing for direct marketing.
  • The right to request that we restrict our processing of your personal data.
  • The right to request that your personal data be transferred to you or another provider.
